The Team: We have built a Value Management & Techno-Economic Assessment (VM&TEA) team that work alongside our multi-disciplinary technical engineering consultants to assess the economic implications of the challenges and solutions that affect our clients. Our VM&TEA team creates the analysis that underpins some of the most complex technological and engineering decisions in society. About the role: As a summer intern, you will work closely with our Techno-Economic Assessment and Strategic Advisory teams. You’ll contribute to live client projects, supporting analysis that informs major investment, policy, and technology decisions. Additionally, they should be adept at managing risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies in order to support critical technological and engineering decisions. Takes initiative & ownership: The ideal candidate should exhibit initiative, and good time management skills, consistently delivering on tasks without constant supervision. They should be accountable, and possess the ability to plan and organise work efficiently to meet clients’ needs. Adapts and remains calm: The ideal candidate should thrive in an environment characterised by undefined structure and frequent changes. They should be willing to adapt to situations and maintain composure as they arise. This role requires constant stepping out of one's comfort zone, and leading a variety of projects by effectively controlling and embracing change. As a minimum requirement you will be on track to obtain a 2:1 in your bachelor’s or a master’s degree. You may have relevant experience from university courses that are similar to any on the following list: Economics Engineering / engineering management Operational research Data science / analytics Physics Applied mathematics / statistics Business management / analytics Due to the nature of the work that Frazer-Nash Consultancy undertake, candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment screening and must be able to satisfy clearance criteria for UK National Security Vetting.
