Job Description: Senior 1 Radiographer MRI Department: MRI Radiology Location: Canary Wharf, 50 Bank Street, London Contract: Permanent Full time: 40 hours per week. About The Canary Wharf The Centre will offer secondary care services including muscle, bone and joint, orthopaedics, pain and spinal, dental and maxillofacial, breast and gynaecology, dermatology and ear, nose and throat, and will be able to perform simple procedures onsite. The Centre will have state-of-the-art diagnostics facilities including MRI and CT scanners, X-ray and mammography machines Centre Opening hours are Monday-Friday 8am – 8pm and Saturday 8am – 2pm How you’ll help us make health happen: An exciting Radiography career opportunity awaits you at our newest clinic Specialist Diagnostics & Dental Centre in Canary Wharf. Responsible for the daily management of the MRI Service in liaison with the Superintendent Radiographer and organising the daily work schedule to ensure that the department runs efficiently. Deputise for the Superintendent Radiographers as appropriate. Develop and maintain staff rotas to ensure appropriate staff coverage on the respective scanner. Supervise the professional standards and operational management of the rotating staff and their training in the respective scanner, ensuring a consistent level of service is maintained. Perform high quality examinations as required by referring Physicians, in line with departmental policies and procedures whilst ensuring that all patients being investigated receive a high standard of care. Accurately analyse the acquired data, record results and produce high quality images for reporting. Assist in the care of all equipment within the department ensuring that cleanliness is maintained and that all equipment faults are reported immediately. Ensure the efficient use of all resources, establish stock control systems and liaise with manufacturers and suppliers. What you’ll bring: Bsc or DCR in Radiography (essential) Substantial MRI experience (essential) It would be desirable to be Philips MRI trained in neuro, body, cardiac and ortho MRI. Demonstrable experience in Contract MRI (essential) Ability to work under pressure and direct and achieve results. Benefits: Our benefits are designed to make health happen for our people.
