Role: Account Director Location: London, England, United Kingdom (Hybrid working from our London offices 3 days a week) About the role: Oliver Agency is searching for a confident, strategic Account Director to lead our dedicated agency team a high-profile account where creative excellence, operational clarity, and strong senior client partnership all matter in equal measure. You’ll play a central role in shaping how the brand shows up across channels, ensuring every output is rooted in strategic insight and delivered with consistency and quality. You’ll lead a fully integrated team across on-site and offshore locations, creating one seamless, collaborative operation. Working closely with the on-site Strategy Director and Creative Director, you’ll help foster a strategically-led creative environment, while partnering with the offshore Senior Project Manager to ensure smooth, efficient BAU delivery and workflow management. You’ll be a trusted senior partner to the client, guiding strategic thinking, strengthening relationships, and identifying opportunities that drive value. You’ll also inspire and empower the team, ensuring they have the clarity, direction, and support needed to deliver their best work. What you will be doing: Build and nurture deep relationships with senior-level clients, becoming their trusted partner for all business growth and strategic development opportunities. Act as the main point of contact for clients on all strategic and creative projects and initiatives, ensuring that Oliver is always aligned with AMEX GBT’s business vision and KPIs. Identify opportunities for organic growth, focusing on how Oliver can add further value to MO’s business objectives and challenges. Manage stakeholder expectations across multiple levels, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration between Oliver and MO teams. Take ownership of Out of Scope (OOS) projects, leading them from inception to completion with an unwavering focus on quality and timeliness. Lead your Senior Project Manager to deliver all BAU projects, delivering standout work that meets both client goals and internal standards. Work closely with the Creative Director and offshore Design Lead to ensure all creative output pushes boundaries, stays on brief, and exceeds client expectations. Work with the Strategy Director to source and deliver key strategic initiatives, to enhance service delivery and customer communications/experience and business results. Ensure the financial health of the account. Be responsible for accurate scoping for OOS projects, budget management, invoicing, reporting, and forecasting. Ensure timely and accurate reporting and analysis of account performance, using insights to inform future strategies and improve processes. Guide the professional development of your team, ensuring they are aligned with MO’s business objectives while advancing their own career growth within Oliver. Work in partnership with the Strategy Director, Creative Director and Offshore team to create a positive, forward-thinking environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement. What you need to be great in this role: 8+ years of experience in account management within the creative, marketing, or advertising sector. Proven track record of managing large-scale, high-value accounts with a focus on business growth and creative excellence. Experience leading cross-functional teams across multiple disciplines and geographies. Deep understanding of 360-channel delivery across all media platforms, including print, digital, and social media.
