Facility Cape Fear Valley Medical Center Location Fayetteville, North Carolina Department Cardiac Services Administration Job Family Clerical Work Shift Days (United States of America) Summary Assists staff in the cost report reimbursement function for the Medicare, Medicaid, and Tricare programs for a multi-facility health system. Major Job Functions The following is a summary of the major essential functions of this job. The incumbent may perform other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned below. In addition, specific functions may change from time to time: Assists the Manager/Director to ensure the organization is in compliance by reviewing current changes in governmental reimbursement regulations Assists in the collections of supporting documentation for any health system audits, reviews or certifications conducted by the Medicare or NCDHHS Assists in the collection of documentation/data for the preparation of Medicare, Medicaid and Tricare Cost Reports Maintains database of physician time studies by collecting/coordinating with employed and Contracted Physicians Offices, payroll, and A/P Assist in the testing of Medicare DSH Days, Bad Debts, and other data needed for the Cost Reports Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications The following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this job: EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required WORK EXPERIENCE: 3 years experience in government reimbursement and cost report preparation within a multi-hospital system required Experience preparing Medicare and Medicaid costs reports for LTAC, Critical Access Hospitals with Rural Health Clinics, and Acute Care Hospitals Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong analytical and organizational skills Working knowledge of GL (Workday) and Patient Accounting Systems (EPIC) Knowledge of Medicare regulations Excellent communication skills Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines Physical Requirements: Requires mobility to meet with management at their service area throughout the system May require extended periods of sedentary work and extended working hours to meet stated objectives Required Licenses and Certifications Cape Fear Valley Health System is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/Disability/Veteran/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity For exceptional healthcare come to Cape Fear Valley Health where caring employees are committed to integrity, patient-centeredness and excellence throughout the entire healthcare process.
