We are looking for an Application Engineer in Digital Implementation Location: Sophia-Antipolis, France Reports to: AE Director This role is ideal for someone with a good understanding of IC/ASIC digital design or implementation. Job Responsibilities: Support leading edge IC/ASIC design and Implementation using Cadence IC Digital Implementation products e.g. Genus, Innovus. Participate in bringing up new flows at customer sites. Deliver update trainings at customer sites. Use skills/knowledge to debug issues and work directly on customer IC/ASIC design projects. Provide technical support to sales team to identify opportunities to proliferate Cadence products. Communicate customer requirements and feedback to the Engineering and Marketing organizations for product direction/improvements. Job Qualifications: Education: Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Microelectronics, 5 to 15 years of experience in microelectronics/EDA industry. Languages: Fluent in French and English. Expected to have knowledge of Verilog/VHDL hardware description language. Have a working knowledge of UNIX/Linux, C-shell, TCL/TK programming and scripting. Knowledge of Machine Learning would be advantageous. Additional Skills/Preferences: Have the ability to communicate and present effectively, both verbally and via email. Be a team player and able to work and integrate well in a team environment. Have a pro-active attitude to problem solving and optimization. Be prepared to travel and work at customer sites throughout Europe. We’re doing work that matters. Help us solve what others can’t.
