Operations Manager Location: CHANEL, Selfridges London Reports to: Boutique Director Contract: Permanent, Full-time CHANEL is committed to delivering the ultimate luxury experience across all client touchpoints. YOUR ROLE @CHANEL: The Boutique Operations Manager will manage the day to day running of the Heart of House, ensuring that effective support is put in place for the Boutique to run at its maximum productivity. The Boutique Operations Manager will make tactical and strategic decisions in support of carrying out the Company mission, providing the operational platform for their business to deliver the most beautiful experience to the client. The Boutique Operations Manager will report to the Boutique Director and will act under their supervision and that of the Deputy Manager in their absence. WHAT IMPACT YOU CAN CREATE AT CHANEL Our Operations Managers are the connecting bridge between the Heart of House and the Front of House by: Having oversight and responsibility of the Heart of House team- Stock and all operational processes within the Boutique, you can support he boutique in delivering the goals of the brand Expertly utilising IT tools such as Y2, RFID, SAP, Workday, Microsoft Office, to manage all facets of our Boutique Operations ranging from stock to tills to managing grey market activity Managing HR tools, processes and procedures ranging from rotas to new starter onboarding and payroll to contribute towards an outstanding employee experience Ensuring the Boutique environment is flawless by being the point of contact and driver of resolutions of any maintenance issues in collaboration with our Maintenance Team Providing our clients and employees a safe and welcoming environment is a key impact of this role, through managing the Boutique Security in concert with our Security Team Delivering the required resources to the boutique ranging from stationery, refreshments, uniforms etc so the Boutique team can execute their daily mission seamlessly WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE A proven track record in delivering operational excellence in a large, fast paced luxury environment Excellent listening and communication ability that brings the best out of, and protects those around you, setting them up for success Consistent drive to support and develop team members in maximising their employability, and value to the brand Highly developed leadership and people management that enables you to achieve through an expert and diverse team YOU ARE ENERGISED BY You will thrive in the role if you are motivated by: Contributing to a leadership team that supports each other in facilitating the Boutique staff to consistently be at their best Continuing and developing ways of working that are organised yet agile, delivering outstanding accuracy in a fast paced environment Proactive and collaborative problem solving to deliver best possible outcomes for all stakeholders The need to take care of the minute detail, while maintaining vision of the business’s big picture mission The need to cultivate and protect relationships between the Boutique and the host department store Contributing in the on-going and companywide version of sustainability.
