ABOUT PROJECT MIRAI Mirai represents a strategic transformation initiative aimed at harmonizing, simplifying, and modernizing Unilever’s core business operations through the implementation of a single ERP system, standardized business processes, and the integration of Agentic AI. This transformation will enable autonomous operations and reduce operational complexity. The core business processes most impacted by Mirai span Finance, Customer Operations, Manufacturing, and Procurement and will be harmonized by adopting a “fit to standard” approach; this mandates the use of best practice ‘out of the box’ process models embedded within the single ERP system. This standardization aims to eliminate local variations, reduce complexity, and enable consistent, scalable operations across markets and functions. Additionally, Mirai represents a fundamental unlock to maximize the potential of capacity release and effectiveness from our GBS operations. JOB PURPOSE You will work very closely with the Business Transformation Lead and support them to design the transformation strategy, shape the engagement with the markets, speed up change management, help driving adoption of new solutions, understand the impacts of changes in the organization, building the framework to capture the value created by Mirai and its new processes and technologies. We are looking for a dynamic, adaptable and detail-oriented person who is responsible for providing strategic, operational, and organisational support to the Business Transformation Lead. You will act as a trusted advisor, ensuring priorities are managed, risks mitigated, and interdependencies across global teams are addressed. You will be involved directly into planning and delivery activities, liaise with senior stakeholders, including Unilever’s Execs, and have ownership of specific parts of the overall plan. WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE Key Responsibilities: Strategy, Programme Governance & Alignment: • Help shaping the strategy for the transformation, including scope, metrics and impact measurement. • Lead the central Transformation Management and coordinate across Mirai workstreams (Technology, Data, Change, Deployment, etc.). • Drive cadence for programme reviews, steering committees, executive reporting, etc. • Track programme progress against integrated programme plans and communicate progress and risks to senior stakeholders and sponsors • Enable visibility through programme management dashboards and analytics for leadership decision-making. • Monitor execution across global markets and ensure readiness for parallel releases (i.e. Stage Gates) • Drive governance cadence for technology and data workstreams, ensuring compliance with Mirai standards and decision-making frameworks. • Partner with Design Authority and PMO to maintain programme integrity and resolve escalations. • Work with the Global Process Owners to monitor programme risks and dependencies, ensuring proactive mitigation and escalation where required. Stakeholder Engagement: • Act as a liaison between programme leadership and business stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment on priorities. • Support the preparation of executive updates and governance materials for key forums (e.g., Mirai Programme Board, Design Authority, Functional Leadership engagement). • Guarantee synchronization between Mirai plans and other transformations (e.g. GBS and GDT) to unlock max value for Unilever with little overlap and strong execution. WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED Experiences & Qualifications • Strong ownership and accountability, ability to lead activities and bring them to a close. • Strong understanding of complex programme governance and delivery, change management, and stakeholder engagement. • Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally teams. • Exceptional organisational, communication, and influencing skills. • Experience both in Tech and Data, both at global level and at market level. • Previous experiences in transformation, technology or AI cases are differentiators. SKILLS • Ability to operate in ambiguity and drive clarity in complex environments • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a pragmatic approach • Collaborative mindset with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills • Ability to lead and inspire a team in a dynamic environment • Very good understanding of Unilever business and strong networking both in markets and in functions. • Passion for High Performance - Self-motivated to deliver high quality results. Location In September 2020, Unilever announced the intention to build a new sustainable campus site in Kingston, London. This site will house some employees who currently work in 100 Victoria Embankment in Blackfriars together with colleagues who are currently located in Lever House in Kingston.
