Your role @ CHANEL: We are currently seeking a Legal Operations Coordinator to drive technical and operational changes to operations of the UK Legal team, implement efficiencies to the team’s ways of working and maintain operational compliance with key areas such as privacy. This role would suit someone who is excited by the opportunity to apply their knowledge of operations management to impact meaningful change in a busy team, passionate about technology and has the will to explore the art of the possible. The role involves problem-solving, implementing best practices from operations management into real-life situations and making practical, measurable improvements within a lean, high-performing team. Working in Chanel’s head office in London you will have the opportunity to work with the Global Legal Operations team as well as being an integral part of the UK Legal Team. You will work closely with other business functions within the Chanel organisation, including IT, Security, Operations and Indirect Procurement. What impact you can create at Chanel: Design, implement and maintain practical solutions that streamline processes and enhance service delivery. Bring greater efficiencies to the way in which the UK Legal Team works; Drive implementing innovative solutions for the UK Legal Team, working closely with the Global Legal Operations team, supporting the implementation and roll out of new systems and championing adoption through thoughtful change management; Collaborate with other functions to co-create scalable tools and joint processes for servicing the UK business and encourage the business to utilise these tools through change management; Act as a visible, trusted point of contact for the UK Legal Team, providing guidance on processes and systems and delivering training and awareness to the business; Horizon scanning for innovative features in technology, especially the Microsoft suite, and keeping up to date with developments to ensure the team are using best practice tools and ways of working; Manage projects for the legal team; Educate colleagues, both the business on the Legal team’s processes and tools and the Legal team on business processes and tools; Lead on data privacy workflows, operational processes and use of the One Trust software, contributing to the UK’s participation in the global privacy programme; Manage operational compliance and company secretarial processes, such as cosmetic product portal notifications and Companies House filings; Develop automated contract templates and act as the central contact for supplier onboarding. What you will bring to the role: You are a proactive problem-solver, who can spot opportunities to simplify, automate and standardise processes. You enjoy working with technology, systems and processes and can translate the team’s needs into practical solutions. You approach your work with integrity, curiosity and a commitment to continuous improvement to remain best-in-class. You are skilled at using technology, including tools such as Microsoft 365, and building practical, user-friendly solutions for the team. You are curious to learn about a legal team’s processes and consider how they can be optimised to achieve the required level of service and output and deliver within time using the resources available. You will have: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) preferred, especially in Engineering or Computer Science. A keen interest in business operations and technology is essential. Experience in a legal environment (in-house or private practice) is preferred, but not essential. Familiarity with privacy and compliance operational processes, e.g. data subject access requests, data incidents, is preferred, but not essential.
