Learning Platforms Manager Reference number:JR251162 Location: Home-based (occasional travel required) Working pattern: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week Contract Type: Permanent Number of roles: 1 Grade: K6 Salary:£50,000 - £55,000 per annum We are looking for a Learning Platforms Manager to join our team. Role summary The Learning Platforms Manager is a vital specialist role responsible for bridging the gap between curriculum design and the hands-on, practical application of learning. You will be the dedicated owner of our virtual labs ecosystem, and other learning platforms ensuring that our learners have access to a world-class, seamless, and effective practical learning experience. This role focuses on the "how" of lab delivery. While the Curriculum Manager defines what learning outcomes are needed, you will bring that vision to life by building, sourcing, and flawlessly implementing the technical lab environments. Your skills and experience will include: * Essential: Proven, hands-on experience managing and developing virtual lab environments, with specific expertise in Skillable (Studio and TMS) highly desirable. * Strong technical proficiency in integrating learning tools, with a deep understanding of LTI standards and experience integrating systems with an LMS * Experience with scripting, APIs, and other technologies used to create and automate virtual lab environments. * An understanding of instructional design or pedagogical principles to ensure labs are designed to be effective and fit for purpose. * Demonstrable experience in managing relationships with external technology vendors. * Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues. * Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple technical projects simultaneously. * Effective communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
