The Global Internal Communications team provides communication and strategy support for the Executive Leadership Team and across all Business Units within Finastra. We engage high level internal stakeholders to provide relevant content and messages to ensure employees are well informed on the topics that matter. We are looking for an experienced internal communications professional to work in a hybrid manner, based at our Paddington, London office a couple of days a week and at home the remainder. This role will suit a motivated, collaborative and creative communications professional. Reporting to the Head of Internal Communications, they will work closely with senior leaders and their teams, leading and supporting the high-level strategic initiatives of the business. The successful candidate will have a flexible approach, be self-driven with advanced time management skills, possess a can-do attitude with exceptional problem-solving capabilities, and have excellent relationship management skills. The role is varied, challenging, and rewarding – so a capacity to be adaptable and detail oriented, while producing high quality work to tight deadlines, is vital. What will you contribute? The Internal Communications Lead will drive employee engagement by conceptualising, creating and promoting engaging messages and communication campaigns for employees through various communication channels. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Define the IC strategy for select members of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and Senior Leadership Team (SLT), devising an approach that will advance business objectives and strategic priorities, while reinforcing Finastra’s culture. Become the IC business partner for a number of our internal business units and central functions, working with stakeholders to write, edit, and proofread content to ensure messaging is integrated and adhering to established standards (e.g. enterprise approval processes, templates, and brand guidelines are followed). Act as the content owner for the two all employee events we run – liaising with external suppliers, preparing materials for presenters and driving employee attendance. Influence solutions to risk and crisis matters affecting the business; understand their relevance, and alongside the Head of Internal Communications, act as an advisor to the Crisis Response Team on audience-appropriate communication elements. Distil raw data (survey responses, analytics, etc.) into summarized and easily understood outcomes or presentations. Take a digital and GenAI first approach to internal communications, leveraging new and innovative communications strategies. Assist with M&A activities as and when required by the business. Take the lead on change management and corporate transformation projects, building the core messaging and ensuring that our business units still feel part of the wider Finastra ecosystem. Required Qualifications & Skills Circa 8+ years of progressive communications experience, operating within a large company and/or unit of a highly matrixed organization. Strong people skills and executive stakeholder management experience. Critical analysis, project management skills, and problem-solving skills with a penchant for articulating and delivering solutions or alternative approaches. Proven ability to deliver high quality work with tight deadlines while managing multiple and competing priorities. Entrepreneurial and self-sufficient: working independently and delivering high-quality results Writes clear, concise and compelling communications. Very strong attention to detail. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work with colleagues in different time zones. Excellent Microsoft Office Skills Experience utilising AI in communications Desirable Qualifications & Skills Previous experience in financial services or tech industry preferable but not required. Diverse communications experience, working with various functions and businesses within an organization. Experience within a global organisation.
