The Head of Cloud and Infrastructure leads the delivery of secure, reliable and scalable cloud and on-premises platforms that support how our organisation teaches, learns, researches and operates. This role sets direction while remaining hands-on where it matters, ensuring core infrastructure services are stable, resilient and aligned to enterprise technology strategy. Working closely with senior stakeholders and technology partners, you will lead a team of cloud and infrastructure engineers and play a key role in shaping platforms that enable the organisation today and into the future. Principal accountabilities are (but not limited to): As the Head of Cloud and Infrastructure, you will: Cloud & Infrastructure Strategy and Operations: Lead the strategy and delivery of secure, scalable hybrid cloud and on-prem infrastructure, defining the roadmap for cloud adoption, modernisation, performance and cost optimisation in alignment with enterprise standards. Platforms, Networks & Systems: Oversee cloud platforms, enterprise networks, communications and core server environments to ensure reliability, security, lifecycle management and effective monitoring across all infrastructure services. Resilience, Security & Compliance: Ensure infrastructure resilience through effective disaster recovery and business continuity planning, while maintaining strong security, governance and compliance with regulatory and audit requirements, including SOX. Leadership & Capability: Lead and develop a high-performing infrastructure team, driving accountability, workforce planning, capability development and a culture of continuous improvement and positive leadership. Who you are: You are an experienced technology leader with a proven record of delivering scalable and secure infrastructure solutions. You combine deep technical expertise with strategic vision and hands-on problem-solving. You have: Leadership experience (4+ years) managing cloud or infrastructure teams. Technical expertise (8+ years) across GCP, AWS, Azure, virtualisation, networking, server administration, and automation. Proven success implementing hybrid infrastructure at scale, managing vendors, and ensuring audit readiness (including SOX compliance). Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills. A Bachelor’s degree in IT/Computer Science (required) and certifications in cloud or IT infrastructure technologies (desirable). To view the full job description, please click here.
