We’re looking for an experienced and strategic professional to lead our Collections and Recoveries strategy across all customer portfolios. In this high-impact role, you’ll drive initiatives to minimise credit losses, optimise recovery performance, and deliver fair outcomes for customers. You’ll lead cross-functional projects spanning debt sale, third-party collections, and operational migrations, using data and insight to shape strategies and improve performance. The role offers broad exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to influence how we evolve our recovery frameworks, reporting, and analytics. This role is ideal if you have proven collections and recoveries experience, strong analytical and leadership skills, and a passion for using data and innovation to enhance the customer journey. This role can be based in London or Leeds. What you will be doing Develop and implement collection strategies across all portfolios. Design and monitor recovery plans for non-performing assets (NPAs), write-offs, and charged-off accounts. Drive performance KPIs including RP performance, cure rates, roll-back percentages, and recovery rate. Lead and motivate, collections and recovery teams, ensuring high performance and adherence to targets. Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines. Lead the development and enhancement of strategies which are focused on improving the customer journey through the collections life cycle. Ability to lead multiple areas of work and contending priorities. Accountable for producing clear and accurate information. Provide thought leadership with insights, forecasts, and recommendations for improving performance. Implement continuous improvement initiatives, through technology, automation and analytics. Your Skills and Experience Essential Proven experience in collections and recoveries. Experience in managing credit card/loan portfolios. Strong understanding of collections systems, analytics, and regulatory frameworks. Proven ability to manage teams and third-party vendors. Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. Desirable Power BI. Digital collections tools and automation.
