Job Details Job Location: Kissimmee, FL 34741 Position Type: Full Time The Assistant Nursing Supervisor maintains a 24-hour accountability for leading the clinical and administrative operations of an assigned area in order to continuously improve the quality of patient care and create a healthy workplace for staff in collaboration with organizational leadership. Will assist individuals with mental illness in the Detox, Residential Treatment Unit, Crisis Stabilization Unit, and Children’s Crisis Stabilization Unit. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: N/A ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Duties and Responsibilities reflect the general details considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job and shall not be construed as a detailed description of all related work assignments that may be inherent to the job. Responsible for completing the nursing schedule, ensuring units are staffed accordingly. Provide coverage for when there are any call-outs/vacations/sick leaves. Review Hospital referrals for admission to all units. Assist nurses with admissions to all units. Provide training to newly hired nurses. Address any issues and/or concerns for the departments assigned. Initiate any disciplinary actions concerning nurses. Review nursing duties to include documentation and proper completion of work. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. CORE COMPETENCIES: Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and interact appropriately with all ages of clients that PPBH serves. Ability necessary to evaluate staff, address and improve clinical issues and devise solutions to complex problems. Maturity and sensitivity to the special needs of PPBH clients while possessing the knowledge of behavioral health and medical conditions Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High School Diploma required Minimum of 2 years relevant mental health experience required. COMPUTER SKILLS: Must have Intermediate to advanced experience in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), the use of personal computers, and standard office productivity software. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals REQUIREMENTS: A valid Class E Drivers’ License for driving personal or Agency vehicle on Agency business. Must maintain a minimum Bodily Injury & Property Liability insurance limit of at least $50,000 for positions that require driving personal own vehicle (POV) on Agency business. (Proof Required) PPBH is a 24/7 Agency. All employees must be available as needed when required.
