GENERAL FUNCTION This position will process, maintain, and assist with the control of Trade Compliance initiatives. They will ensure compliance with various Customs laws and regulations as well as maintaining strong communication with Trade Compliance Analysts and Specialists. This position reports to the Trade Compliance Business Manager. PRIMARY DUTIES ▪ Process bonded warehouse movements and ensure accurate timely filing of storage, re-export, import and transit declarations to meet logistics delivery schedules within our SLA’s. ▪ Apply applicable Preference documents and FTA’s as required. ▪ Meet deadlines , communicate production and field issues to upper management or a Trade Compliance Specialist, and summarize progress of each production issue. ▪ Perform frequently occurring Trade Compliance tasks as assigned. ▪ Work with various other Wolverine Departments in support of Trade Compliance’s initiatives. ▪ Maintain and create data pouches as needed to support Special Program functions (i.e. Duty Remission, Free Trade Agreements, and bonded warehousing). ▪ Facilitate Bonded Warehouse Audits for Dutch Customs pertaining to Storage, Import, Re-Exports and Transit Documents. ▪ Maintain and Update Master Data within GTS. ▪ Review and respond to inbound EU Trade Compliance DL timely and escalate if needed. ▪ Help ensure procedures are in place to minimize impact to Trade Compliance operations. ▪ Communicate Production changes to Analyst for updates to SOP documentation ▪ Proactively analyze and advise on process improvements for Bonded Warehouse. ▪ Stay current on regulation changes. ▪ Attend continuing professional education or seminars as required. ▪ Understand and model principles and concepts of standard work and problem solving. ▪ Adheres to 5S and safety standards and principles. ▪ Provide insight (i.e. thoughts, progress or pains) to the Business Manager on activities within region; provide reports on a regular basis. ▪ Other duties, as required or assigned by upper management.
