A BIT ABOUT THE ROLE Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time Location: Performance Development Academy, Leeds Hours: 40 Hours Per Week British Rowing’s vision is to lead a sport that welcomes everyone by creating opportunities to participate, regardless of goal, age, background or ability. We are dedicated to creating an Olympic pathway that is open and accessible so that any individual who has the potential to row or coach for Great Britain can discover their ambitions and achieve them. You will play a key role within that Pathway, supporting the Performance Development Coach (Based in Leeds) to identify, recruit, and develop new athletes (predominantly Juniors and students/U21s) with future Olympic potential who might not otherwise enter the sport of rowing or excel within a traditional ‘mainstream’ rowing pathway. In particular, you will act as the link between the Regional Performance Development Academy and the wider Yorkshire Region, supporting identified ‘regional’ athletes and their coaches. You will achieve this through delivering regional training days, supporting the region's JIRR team through trials and training days, supporting university clubs at freshers' fairs, visiting schools alongside clubs and linking schools to clubs to promote Learn to Rows, and additional training sessions alongside their current training programme. Follow the link for the full role description in the application pack. A BIT ABOUT YOU Do you want to take your coaching more seriously and have a can-do attitude?  We're on the lookout for someone with the desire to inspire young people in rowing. While experience is great, your drive, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn are what truly matter to us. If you're a natural at connecting with others, love building a supportive community, and are excited to help shape the future of Olympic rowing talent, then we want to hear from you!  As a coach working for British Rowing, you will need to be flexible in regards to working hours, but you will enjoy being outdoors and by the water. You will also have many opportunities for your own personal development.  We believe in developing potential even if you don’t have all the qualifications. So if you're ready to dive in, expand your coaching experience and make a real difference, this could be the perfect role for you. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS WHAT WE OFFER The position of Regional Talent Coach is a full-time paid role (£27,000-29,000), and you will also receive opportunities that you won't get elsewhere, including opportunities on camps, trials and competitions, and professional development opportunities through our Olympic Pathway coach development.  It offers the opportunity to join our team at an exciting time for the Olympic Pathway, as we embark on delivering a bold and ambitious new strategy to identify and develop our Olympic Rowers of the future.
