Yacht Team Manager Department: Sales & Marketing Employment Type: Full Time Location: London Reporting To: Dimitri Deschaume Description Key responsibilities of this role are to market the Yachts business worldwide in accordance with a detailed business plan, towards achieving a larger market share in our key markets, and to manage the Yachts trading team to drive forward their performance. The role will foster profitable and long-standing relationships with a portfolio of Captains across the globe including the US and Caribbean, whist maintaining a risk aware perspective with regard to credit risk and payment performance. This role requires a passion for building relationships and strong knowledge of the Yachts market. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Produce and play a key role in executing a business plan that focuses on marketing, and building the company brand and visibility in key Yachts markets, to directly impact on Yachts trading teams securing more business; Establish and build relationships with new and existing Captains and suppliers; Work closely with the Yachts team in Europe to allow for the efficient flow of market and customer intelligence; Work with the Trading Manager and Regional Manager for Yachts to develop and implement effective short and long-term business strategies, ensuring they are regularly updated and accurately maintained; Involvement in proactively control risks ensuring that all customers and suppliers are vetted and approved, cost of claims are minimized, and counterparty financial strength is regularly and carefully considered in conjunction with the Credit Team; Keep abreast of all relevant yachts sector and market developments through regular reading of relevant trade publications, newspapers etc., and own network; KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Experience in the yacht industry Business level of English language essential; knowledge of other languages is desirable High level of computer literacy including proficiency of MS Office package and able to work with CRM systems Strong knowledge of the Yachts market in multiple regions, ideally globally Existing relationships, networks and well connected amongst Captains in multiple regions Experienced in developing strategies to build market presence and share Results driven and target oriented leader, able to energise and drive others to achieve goals within a fast paced, dynamic environment Confident individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating a positive and professional manner Persuasive and influential by nature, a highly effective negotiator able to ‘think on your feet’ High level of customer orientation; a ‘people person’, demonstrating exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build, expand and maintain trusted and collaborative long-term relationships High level of commercial acumen, with a critical mind and strong analytical and problem solving abilities and the capacity to evaluate processes and implement improvements Strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work effectively within time constraints, handle pressure and take day-to-day decisions Able to demonstrate a flexible and adaptable attitude, with the ability to multi-task and respond quickly to changing priorities High level of cultural awareness and sensitivity and the ability to engage with a culturally diverse population remotely and across geographical boundaries Ambitious, self-motivated and demonstrating a willingness to continually develop own knowledge and skills and seek out/participate in development opportunities
