Water Regulations Inspector Circa £38,488 dependent on skills & experience Permanent, full time (37 hours) with flexibility for part time Norfolk / Suffolk – field based Regulate, Inspect and Protect the water supply! Our Water Services team clean water to the highest standard, deliver it to millions of homes, and carefully manage it to ensure it never runs out. We borrow water from the environment, store it and treat it to world-class standards to supply safe drinking water to 4.3 million customers in towns and villages from Grimsby, in the north-east of our region, to Milton Keynes at the south-western tip. As a Water Regulations Inspector, you’ll co-ordinate, plan and undertake Water Regulation Inspections/Assessments on new and existing High risk domestic dwellings, commercial and industrial premises, and Anglian Water owned assets. These inspections/assessments are a crucial part of supporting the business in protecting water supplies, from waste, misuse, undue consumption, contamination, and erroneous measurement and to keeping the Anglian Water region’s public water supply safe. In this important role, you’ll be face to face with customers and be required to inspect and assess hot and cold water plumbing system installations on all types of properties including; domestic properties, farms, schools, hospitals, and factories etc. for compliance relating to the Water Supply Regulations. Carrying out these inspections and assessments you’ll be playing your part in protecting the public water supply. This is a great opportunity for someone in a similar role or with experience of plumbing installations. You will ideally hold a recognised plumbing qualification and a relevant Water Regulations knowledge qualification. This is not essential, but is preferred. We are looking for you to have excellent communication skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines. This role will need a flexible individual as it could occasionally involve you working out of hours to meet business requirements.
