We’re looking for a Waste Water Pump Apprentice to support our Pump Technicians in servicing and maintaining pump systems across commercial properties. This is a full-time, entry-level role based out of our Laurel, MD office — perfect for someone who enjoys working outdoors, learning mechanical systems, and growing into a skilled trade career.


Training Commitment

This role is a Three-year apprenticeship program with structured training and mentorship. You’ll gain the technical skills, certifications, and field experience needed to advance to a full Pump Technician position.

  What You’ll Do

  • Assist Pump Technicians with repairs and maintenance of wastewater pump
  • Help install new pump systems, motors, piping, and valves.
  • Assist with mounting, alignment, and  connection of pumps and motors.
  • Support senior technicians in setting up control systems and performing start-up procedures.
  • Gather tools, materials, and equipment needed for job sites.
  • Drive  company vehicles and tow equipment as needed
  • Use maps or GPS to navigate to job sites
  • Perform plant maintenance and general cleanup
  • Work flexible hours and participate in a rotating on-call schedule

Requirements

 What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Reliable transportation 
  • Must obtain an D.O.T. Medical Card  at hire(we’ll help you with that)
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools/equipment
  • Positive attitude, dependability, and eagerness to learn
  • Comfortable working with wastewater and septic materials
  • Previous drain cleaning experience is a plus
