We are currently seeking a Warehousing and Distribution Operative to join our dynamic team in Leighton Buzzard. Purpose of the Job: The Warehouse and Distribution operative is responsible for assisting the business by filling various responsibilities within the department as needed. The role consists of three key functions: Goods In, inventory management, and shipping. These three functions facilitate the flow of materials through the business, ensuring that goods are supplied to customers on time and in accordance with quality requirements. Key Responsibilities: Maintain Stock Accuracy through MPR computer system. Physical movement of product Visual Inspection, Counting and checking of stock Supporting the Business in the implementation of Continuous Improvement and Health and safety initiatives Handle, organise and maintain methodical storage of cartons prior to dispatch All Successful applicants will receive all necessary training to enable all them to achieve the key duties Key Skills/ Experiences: Minimum of GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English Experience of General Warehousing activities would be advantageous Experience of basic Windows and Microsoft Office functions (Word, Excel and Access) Fork Lift Truck / PAV (WAVE) Machine would be an advantage Additional info: This role reports directly to the Warehouse and Distribution Team leader(s) and will have dotted line to Second Shift Team Leader Hours of Work – 39 hours per week Mon – Thur > 15:00 – 00:00 (midnight) - overtime available 2 hours before start of shift if required Friday > 12:00 (noon) – 17:00 Saturday > Overtime 07:00 – 12:00 if required Sunday > Overtime 07:00 – 12:00 if required Job attracts 20% shift premium on basic rate Why work for us?
