Volunteer Marketing & Public Engagement Lead (2 Positions available) - Help amplify youth voices and mental health awareness! We're seeking creative, community-driven volunteers to lead social media, storytelling, and public engagement for our nonprofit. We are searching for a highly-creative Volunteer Marketing & Public Engagement Lead to lead our marketing team. In this position, you will be responsible for all aspects of our marketing operations. Your central goal is to help grow our brand’s influence locally while also increasing brand loyalty and awareness. As our Marketing & Public Engagement Lead, you’ll be the voice and vibe of Essential across all platforms. From posting content that resonates with our community to creating partnerships that amplify our mission, you’ll help us shine in the digital and real-world space. Responsibilities Design and oversee all aspects of our digital marketing department including our marketing database, email, and display advertising campaigns.Develop and monitor campaign budgets.Plan and manage our social media platforms.Prepare accurate reports on our marketing campaign’s overall performance.Coordinate with advertising and media experts to improve marketing results.Identify the latest trends and technologies affecting our industry.Evaluate important metrics that affect our website traffic, service quotas, and target audience.Work with your team to brainstorm new and innovative growth strategies.Oversee and manage all contests, giveaways, and other digital projects.Other ResponsibilitiesManage our social media accounts (Instagram, Tiktok, LinkedIn, etc.)Post daily updates: events, quotes, recaps, and community winsDesign content that is visually appealing and emotionally resonantInteract with followers and grow our online presencePromote our events and encourage public attendanceCreate strategies to increase engagement and visibilityReach out to potential partners, organizatiions and collaboratorsAttend events to capture content, network and create buzz Who You Are: Social media-savvy and love being onlineExperience using social media tools (Canva, Instagram Reels, etc.)Confident communicator with a creative sparkProficient in the English language, verbal & writtenSelf-motivated and consistent with posting schedulesNon-judgmental and acceptance of the various values and beliefs of othersAbility to work independently and in a team environmentComfortable networking and attending community eventsPassionate about youth, mental health, and Black excellenceRequirementsMust have a Linkedin accountHave residency in Canada (e.g., Canadian citizenship, PR, work permit, work visa, etc.)Reliable in fulfilling work commitmentsAble to comply with Livemore policies and procedures and our Code of EthicsMaintain confidentiality regarding your work.Access to phone/laptop and reliable internet connectivitySign and comply with our Volunteer Work Agreement.Participate in ongoing training and work-related development opportunities.
