Tower Research Capital, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks a Trading Operations Engineer to join one of our trading teams. Responsibilities * Monitoring high-volume live trading and portfolio risk * Contributing to the automated trading operations codebase * Managing ongoing projects with various Tower support teams * Coordinating software and hardware upgrades * Applying programmatic solutions to scale and expand trading operations * Resolving discrepancies with trading positions, broker statements, and internal applications Qualifications * The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in a related field, and a bachelor’s degree * Proficient scripting skills in Python and an intermediate understanding of a Linux environment * Exceptional analytical abilities, strong communications skills, and experience making data-driven strategic decisions * Strong working knowledge of PNL and Risk reporting applications * Familiarity with current market structure and regulatory developments * Ability to analyze and optimize order entry and market data exchange connectivity * Ability to comprehend and diagnose problems in complex real-time systems with minimal guidance * Capacity to work equally well independently and as a member of a team * In-depth understanding of trading technology and fluency in technical concepts * Strong multitasking and context-switching abilities across a diverse and fast-paced environment * Advanced problem-solving abilities Benefits Tower is headquartered in New York City, and has offices around the globe.
