Job Purpose: This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of production tooling by performing repairs, preventive maintenance, and safety checks. With little or no supervision, this role is to support the press shop requirements of fabrication of equipment/components for tooling and or other areas of the press shop. Key Functional Responsibilities: · Assist in toolroom activities during equipment failures or production requirements, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal disruption to service, and perform scheduled maintenance repairs during machine service. · Identify, diagnose, and address potential issues to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan. · Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues with production tooling and related systems. · Comply with Ceer’s and industry safety regulations, guidelines, and protocols, and maintain clean and orderly work areas. · Monitor production processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure high-quality output. · Perform activities of fabrication (conventional machine), multiple processes of welding (MIG, TIG & Basic laser) for press shop requirements. Operation of overhead cranes and handling specialized hand tools for toolmaking activities. · Perform regular inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance on production tooling, including toolroom equipment. · Test tooling performance to produce quality and stable parts for final customer · Ensure the availability of spares and repair or replace defective components. · Keep accurate records of activities, including repairs, replacements, and schedules. · Cooperate with other technicians, engineers, and supervisors to coordinate schedules, prioritize work orders, and optimize system performance. · Collaborate with team members to optimize system performance and maintain high-quality output. · Effective maintenance of stamping dies, as well as active participation in the setup at the start of each shift in the toolroom. Education: • Technical High School, or Diploma in Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering or min experience in Class A toolroom Experience: 4 Years Minimum experience in a Class A press shop
