As a Toll Collector, experience in customer service, retail or security are hugely transferable and a great route to start your success in new opportunity with Securitas UK!Job DescriptionWhat you'll be doingOperating lane equipment and managing toll booths smoothly and professionallyClassifying vehicles and processing toll payments accuratelyRecording and handling cash, preparing deposits, and ensuring secure handoversCommunicating clearly and courteously with drivers, resolving enquiries or escalating when neededFollowing safety and operational procedures to keep yourself and others safeLiaising with the Bridge Control Room and following instructions promptlyReporting incidents or equipment faults as necessaryMaintaining supplies and equipment in your boothWriting clear reports and interpreting information effectivelyUpholding high standards of appearance and professionalism at all timesWelcoming and assisting staff, visitors, and contractors.Conducting regular safety and security patrols.Ensuring compliance with regulations and procedures.Supporting emergency protocols, including evacuations and searches.Keeping vigilant, reporting incidents, and preventing disruption.Accurately maintaining records of all activity and handovers.Please note - The responsibilities listed here aren’t the full picture—but they give you a good sense of the role.
