Candidate Profile: Test Lead – Card Domain Specialist (10 Years Total Experience) Total IT Experience: 10+ Years Card Domain Experience: Minimum 5 Years Role: Test Lead Location: York UK Job Type: Full-Time Professional Summary Exciting opportunity to join our growing Independent Business Assurance (IBA) team with the role of Test Specialist based in York. IBA is a business function which sits between the technical delivery teams and our clients. IBA provides independent validation and assurance of Change through rigorous TSYS testing prior to it being made available to clients for their UAT. The objective of the IBA team is to deliver high-quality releases with minimal issues for both On-prem and modernization. With the ultimate aim of building trust, delighting customers, driving retention, and fostering long-term growth for TSYS. The IBA team is looking for results-driven QA/Test Lead with 10+ years of total IT experience in software testing and quality assurance, including 5+ years of focused experience in the Card domain (Credit/Debit/Prepaid cards, Card Management Systems). Proven expertise in leading end-to-end test planning, test strategy, team management, and stakeholder communication for mission-critical financial applications. Core Competencies (must have) Estimation, Test Strategy, Planning & Execution Card Domain Expertise (Issuance, Authorization, CMS, ISO 8583) Functional, Integration & Regression Testing API Testing & Backend Validation Agile Delivery & CI/CD Integration Compliance Testing (PCI-DSS, EMV) Team Management & Stakeholder Coordination Risk Management & Defect Triage Test Metrics & Reporting Domain Experience – Card & Payments (5+ Years) (must have) Card lifecycle testing: issuance, personalization, activation, reissue, blocking, expiry Transaction testing: POS, ATM, online, contactless, NFC, fallback Message validation, including auth codes, response codes, MTIs, and field-level checks Host simulator testing with VISA/MasterCard compliance Integration testing with Card Management Systems (CMS), payment switches, and banking cores Handling chargebacks, disputes, reversals, and settlements Tokenization, PAN masking, CVV/CVC validation for PCI-DSS compliance Leading testing for EMV chip & magstripe card workflows Working closely with business and product teams to ensure regulatory compliance and functional accuracy TS2 knowledge/experience is preferred Technical Skill Set (good to have) Automation Tools: Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Cucumber, Cypress, RestAssured, Postman Languages: Java, JavaScript (basic), SQL Domain Tools: FinSim, BCC, Paragon, ASSET (or equivalent) CI/CD: Jenkins, Git, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps Test Management Tools: JIRA Databases: Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL Frameworks: BDD (Cucumber), Hybrid, Page Object Model (POM) Leadership Experience Leading QA teams members across functional and automation workstreams Driving end-to-end test lifecycle from requirements analysis to production validation Coordinating across onshore-offshore delivery models Conducting test reviews, KT sessions, and training programs Managing defect triage meetings with developers and BAs Building test metrics dashboards and reporting KPIs to stakeholders Collaborating closely with Agile Product Owners and Scrum Masters Global Payments Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
