As a Technical Lead within the Platform Engineering department, you’ll play a key role in implementing and configuring trading platforms for our global clients. You’ll be part of an agile delivery team, involved through the full project lifecycle—from requirements analysis and design to deployment and handover. Acting as both a hands-on technical expert and a mentor, you’ll ensure the integrity, scalability, and quality of our client solutions. Key Responsibilities Lead the technical implementation of trading platforms within agile delivery teams, collaborating with project managers, delivery managers, and technical consultants. Participate in pre-signature and discovery phases to analyse client needs and design tailored functional and technical solutions. Configure, integrate, and customize Broadridge’s trading systems to support client-specific business workflows. Estimate project effort, identify dependencies, and contribute to planning and risk assessment. Mentor and support junior team members, promoting best practices and knowledge sharing. Conduct testing, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure reliable and secure deployments. Deliver product demonstrations and training sessions for internal and client stakeholders. Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance delivery processes and quality assurance. Expand your expertise across asset classes, including equities, derivatives, FX, and fixed income, and strengthen your grasp of principal and agency trading systems. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum 7 years of experience in technical implementation, support, or delivery roles. Proven experience interfacing with clients to define and deliver complex technical solutions. Strong knowledge of FIX and other exchange protocols. Proficiency in source control systems (e.g., Git). Experience with system administration, shell scripting, and networking. Excellent communication skills, with fluency in written and spoken English. Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to work autonomously and drive projects forward. Bonus skills Experience with C++ and/or Java programming. Background in the financial industry, particularly in trading systems, market connectivity, or any major asset class.
