We’re currently looking for a Technical Co-ordinator to join our Water Supply team, focusing on Reservoir and Booster sites across Hampshire (internally known as Reservoir & Booster Technical Co-ordinator). This is a hands-on, field-based role with a strong operational and technical focus — ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys making a tangible impact. What You’ll Be Doing As a Technical Co-ordinator, you’ll be responsible and accountable for the safe and compliant operation, maintenance, and coordination of activities across our Reservoir and Booster sites. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring water quality, asset reliability, and regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities include: Site Management & Compliance Oversee daily site activities, ensuring adherence to BSI 9001 & 14001 standards, water quality regulations, and environmental policies. Conduct site safety and fire risk assessments, and support audits by regulators and governing bodies. Act as the competent person on Safe Control of Operations (SCOs), managing safe isolation and valving of assets. Operational Oversight Maintain a clear overview of all planned and reactive works across the operational area. Support the Field Performance Manager (FPM) and deputise during leave or delegated responsibilities, ensuring continuity and succession planning. Monitor health & safety equipment standards and ensure all assets are certified as safe and compliant. Project & Contractor Coordination Be the first point of contact for contractors, scoping and supporting project delivery. Ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. Build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve issues proactively. Hands-On Technical Support Spend approximately 80% of your time on-site, carrying out minor repairs and maintenance. Tow and set up generators for emergency and planned works. Respond flexibly to out-of-hours work to minimise customer disruption. What We’re Looking For We’re seeking someone with a strong technical and operational background, ideally with experience in: Water quality and distribution Health & safety regulations Environmental policies Risk assessments and method statements Utilities sector (preferably water) You’ll also need: A full UK driving licence (travel between sites is essential) Strong communication and stakeholder management skills IT literacy and confidence using digital tools A proactive mindset and drive for continuous improvement Mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving ability Why Join Us?
