Location/Division Specific Information: This role is based in Crawley, UK, within our dynamic Operations team. You'll be joining a team dedicated to receiving, packaging and distributing world-class products. A Day in the Life: You will be supporting operations (inventory, dispatch, packaging) in any of the ambient, cold or ultra-low temperature areas. This may include: Picking and packing client orders to fulfil business targets Receiving deliveries from couriers into the accurate storage location and onto the relevant inventory software Following Production Orders to complete client packaging requirements, including set up and clean down of rooms/equipment Completing GMP paperwork with accuracy, meeting crucial timelines Completing inventories, cycle counts, and waste disposals Following Standard Operating Procedures Focusing on delivery for internal and external customers Maintaining good housekeeping and promoting a safe working environment Maintaining compliance with all safety & quality regulations, through the necessary training and proficiency programs, and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Supporting the culture of Continuous Improvement through the PPI Lean Process Reporting Health and Safety and Quality risks, near misses and incidents to Line Management Any other duties on an ad-hoc basis as required by Line Management Keys to Success: Confirmed self-starter able to work well within a team as well as independently Capability to cooperate and function within interdisciplinary groups to meet crucial project deadlines aligned with business requirements Strong interpersonal, communication and numerical skills (verbal and written) Appreciates and respects diversity, cultures and norms Exhibits behaviours that match the Strengths and 4i Values Education: Possession of an English GCSE or an equivalent qualification/experience Experience/qualification in Mathematics at the GCSE level or equivalent Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: IT literate Ability to work under pressure and support others within the team Good attention to detail Desirable Experience: Prior experience in a GxP environment Prior experience with cold environments Hands-on experience working with biological and/or pharmaceutical materials Forklift experience desirable but not crucial as full training will be provided Physical Requirements / Work Environment: These tasks will align with Health & Safety guidelines, The Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992, and relevant manual handling evaluation criteria and mentorship. This position functions in a warehouse environment, which may include working with dry ice, liquid nitrogen, hazardous and infectious agents, as well as marked changes in temperature. A good level of hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity is required for packaging and labelling activities.
