Purpose of the role The Supplier Chain Social Responsibility Manager is responsible for leading IAG's social sustainability and ethical sourcing initiatives across the supply chain. This role ensures compliance with labour standards, human rights due diligence, and Modern Slavery Act requirements, while driving supplier diversity and inclusion programmes. Working closely with procurement teams and Operating Companies, this position protects IAG's reputation and ensures responsible business practices throughout the supplier network. Your responsibilities Social Sustainability Strategy & Implementation Lead the development and implementation of social sustainability initiatives across IAG's supplier network, including labour standards, human rights, and ethical sourcing practices. Establish and maintain frameworks for assessing social risks throughout the supply chain, including forced labour, child labour, and working conditions. Collaborate with procurement teams and Operating Companies to integrate social sustainability requirements into supplier onboarding, contracting, and performance management processes. Develop supplier codes of conduct and ethical sourcing policies aligned with international standards including ILO conventions and UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. Modern Slavery Act Compliance & Human Rights Due Diligence Ensure comprehensive compliance with the UK Modern Slavery Act and equivalent legislation across all IAG jurisdictions. Lead the preparation of annual Modern Slavery statements, coordinating input from Operating Companies and ensuring accuracy and transparency in reporting. Conduct human rights due diligence across high-risk supplier categories and geographic regions, implementing risk assessment methodologies and remediation processes. Maintain supply chain transparency through mapping of multi-tier supplier relationships, particularly in high-risk sectors such as textiles, electronics, and facilities management. Monitor changes in legislation and regulatory requirements related to modern slavery, human trafficking, and forced labour, advising the business on compliance implications. Social Audit Programme Management Design and manage IAG's social audit programme across key supplier categories, establishing audit protocols, frequency, and scope based on risk assessment. Coordinate third-party social audits using platforms such as SEDEX, EcoVadis, and industry-specific schemes, ensuring consistent standards and methodology. Analyse audit findings and non-compliance issues, developing corrective action plans (CAPs) with suppliers and tracking remediation progress to closure. Escalate significant non-compliance findings to procurement leadership and the Head of Supplier Chain Sustainability, recommending appropriate actions including supplier exit where necessary. Maintain audit documentation and evidence to support compliance reporting and stakeholder assurance requirements. Performance Monitoring & Reporting Maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for social sustainability including audit completion rates, non-compliance remediation, supplier diversity spend, and risk coverage. Prepare regular reports for the Head of Supplier Chain Sustainability on social sustainability performance, emerging risks, and programme effectiveness. Support ESG reporting requirements related to social governance, contributing data and narrative for annual reports, sustainability reports, and rating agency disclosures. Utilize sustainability platforms (SEDEX, EcoVadis, Watershed) to track supplier social performance and generate insights for continuous improvement. Your skills, experience and qualifications Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Business, Sustainability, Human Rights, or related field. Professional certifications in social compliance or ethical trade (e.g., CIPS Ethical Procurement and Supply, APSCA, or equivalent) preferred. Knowledge of Modern Slavery Act, UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, ILO conventions, and SA8000 standards. Skills: Social Sustainability Expertise: Deep knowledge of labour standards, human rights frameworks, and ethical sourcing principles. Analytical & Risk Assessment: Ability to identify, assess, and prioritize social risks across complex supply chains. Audit & Compliance Management: Experience designing audit protocols, interpreting findings, and driving corrective actions. Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent communication and influencing skills to work effectively with suppliers, procurement teams, and external partners. Programme Management: Strong project management capabilities with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. Data Analysis & Reporting: Proficiency in analysing social performance data and preparing clear, actionable reports for senior stakeholders. Collaborative Approach: Ability to work across Operating Companies and functions to drive alignment and shared accountability for social sustainability. Continuous Improvement Mindset: Commitment to staying current with evolving legislation, best practices, and industry standards in social sustainability. Experience: · 5 years of experience in social sustainability, ethical sourcing, or supply chain social compliance within a multinational organization. · Proven track record in managing social audit programmes and remediating non-compliance issues with suppliers. · Experience with Modern Slavery Act compliance and human rights due diligence processes. · Demonstrated success in developing and implementing supplier diversity or DEI programmes. · Experience using social compliance platforms such as SEDEX, EcoVadis, or similar assessment tools. · Understanding of high-risk industries and geographies for labour rights violations and modern slavery · Strong stakeholder management experience, including working with procurement teams, suppliers, and external NGOs or certification bodies.
