What you will do As a Field Line Manager, you will play a crucial role in coaching and developing our talented team of engineers. Your exceptional communication and customer service skills, alongside your people management expertise, will empower you to lead a dynamic team of Installation engineers in a fast-paced environment. How you will do it Organise daily operations, tackle challenges, engage with customers, and collaborate with your team. Implement effective work procedures, provide timely briefings to staff, and ensure best practices are followed. Collaborate with the planning team to schedule manpower and equipment for jobs, ensuring completion within budget and timelines. Manage engineers’ documentation for accuracy and efficiency, certifying timesheets correctly. Conduct regular safety and quality audits to ensure the proper use of equipment by engineers and subcontractors. Oversee Health & Safety compliance for your team and subcontractors, ensuring alignment with legislation and Tyco’s Zero Harm policy. Identify and assess training needs while encouraging team development through annual appraisals and hands-on management. Proactively manage project forecasts and budgets, while building strong customer relationships to minimize disputes.
