The Sr Director SC will be responsible for leading the end-to-end supply chain strategy, ensuring supply continuity, optimizing procurement and supplier management, and driving operational excellence. This role requires a strong balance between strategic leadership and hands-on execution to align supply chain operations with the company's long-term business objectives. This position will oversee direct and indirect procurement, inventory management, and supplier relationships. This position will work closely with global and regional teams to enhance cost efficiency, quality, risk management, and sustainability in the supply chain. Main Functions Procurement & Supplier Management Set and execute short- and long-term procurement strategies aligned with business goals. Develop and implement commodity strategies to achieve cost reduction and operational targets. Lead strategic supplier relationships, ensuring performance, risk management, and business continuity. Drive supplier risk monitoring and maintain detailed mitigation plans for critical components and at-risk suppliers. Oversee and execute top commercial negotiations, ensuring competitive agreements and long-term value creation. Manage $600M direct material spend and $200M indirect & capital expenditures. Align with Global Sourcing and Procurement strategies with (Daikin Global Procurement) and ensure local execution. Align all procurement activities to Daikin standard work, and common procurement practices. Inventory Management Oversee demand planning and forecasting, working closely with operations, sales, and finance teams. Optimize inventory management, balancing cost efficiency with production requirements. Quality, NPI & Operational Excellence Collaborate with Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) to reduce supplier defects and improve quality. Support successful NPIs launches by ensuring supplier readiness and material availability. Develop technical product and manufacturing process knowledge to strengthen value chain contributions.
