Mass General Brigham is hiring a Full Time Senior Analytics Engineer/ Business Intelligence Developer. This role is vital to the team! The ideal candidate for this role can act as a backup to our SSAS developer but will be doing day to day work developing in Python and SQL to support Data Science/AI initiatives. Job Summary The Opportunity The Sr Business Intelligence Developer Analytics Engineer will use Microsoft Business Intelligence tools, primarily Microsoft SSMS, SSAS, and SSIS to maintain BI data structures in support of operational, clinical, and financial analysis. Support Data Scientists on the team with Microsoft SQL queries, ETL processes and Python. What You'll Do - Supports BI Development and works with the data scientists to support and learn what they are doing -Works with end users, analysts, technical staff, and team members to plan, designs, develops, implements, and enhances business intelligence capabilities using Microsoft Business Intelligence tools. -Assists with maintaining and troubleshooting issues with existing cubes, queries and processes. -Develops efficient Microsoft SQL queries and data processes for Data Scientists on the team in support of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. -Assists end users, as a subject matter expert on existing company data, processes and business intelligence tools. -Create clear documentation for users and technical staff. -Follows established change control and versioning policies as pursuant with company standards and best practices. -Serves as project manager for relevant analytics projects, including meeting facilitation, resource management, and stakeholder expectation setting. -Provide training and mentorship to team, and end users on key analytic and reporting systems and databases when necessary. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Computer Science required or Bachelor's Degree Information Systems required MGB can review and consider experience in lieu of a degree Experience as a business intelligence developer or a similar role 5-7 years required Python experience and SSIS highly preferred BI SSAS cube development experience Skills for Success Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL). Exposure to Azure. The newer BI tools require some Python, like Azure Data Engineering certs require you to use python for data manipulation. Expertise in Microsoft Business Intelligence data engineering tools (SSMS, SSAS and SSIS) Expertise in business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Microsoft PowerBI or similar. Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and ETL best practices. Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, R) and statistical analysis techniques is a plus. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and present complex data insights in a clear and concise manner. Health Insurance industry experience is a plus.
