Job Title: Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist – Community Teams Banding: Band 7 (Capped) Location: Shrewsbury, Telford, and Oswestry Start Date: ASAP Working Hours: 7.5-hour shifts, Monday to Friday (Full-time, 37.5 hours per week) Contract Type: Locum – 3 months with potential of contract extension. Speciality: Community Speech and Language Therapy Job Overview Pulse is currently seeking an experienced Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist to join community teams across Shrewsbury, Telford, and Oswestry. This locum role offers a full-time schedule over 3 months, providing essential support to patients in community settings. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality speech and language therapy services, with a particular focus on dysphagia management. Key Responsibilities Provide assessment and intervention for patients with communication and swallowing difficulties Deliver therapy across multiple community sites (Shrewsbury, Telford, Oswestry) Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to support patient care Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with professional standards Support service delivery and contribute to reducing waiting times Requirements Degree in Speech and Language Therapy (required) HCPC registration (required) Enhanced DBS clearance (required) Dysphagia competence (essential) Car driver preferred due to community travel requirements Strong communication and clinical reasoning skills Why Pulse?
