The Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) is searching for a Land Referencer to support and enhance our project delivery team. What will you be doing as our new Land Referencer. The Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) is a ~£1.8Bn framework delivering 500km+ of transfer pipelines, with associated storage and pumping assets, across the East of England supporting reduction of abstraction in sensitive aquifers and significant regional growth. You will play a key role in the successful delivery of the SPA project being part of the Land team reporting to the Land Programme Manager, undertaking key land referencing activities in line with the Water Industry Act 1991. Key responsibilities: Lead on Identifying legal interests in land; including freeholders, leaseholders, tenants and rights by researching and compiling land ownership records using HMLR, Local authority and other such methods Batching and mailing out land entry questionnaires to confirm ownership and agreement to access land Processing returned questionnaires and ensuring that the land management system is updated with confirmed information Carry out site visits to confirm land ownership / interest details etc. Work with GIS / GIS resource to ensure that landownership extents are correctly captured on the GIS platform Manage and request land access for surveys (non-intrusive and intrusive), to support EIA requirements, and construction activities: Work with relevant disciplines to understand access requirements and ensure that requests are made and obtained in line with the survey request timescales and processes Support access requirements at later stages with management of landowner consultation: Provide support to the agricultural liaison officers during the construction phase, assisting in resolving any identified risks or landowner concerns A little bit about your skills, experience and behaviours: This job might be for you if you: Have experience of being part of a large-scale infrastructure programme, in particular ones that have an impact on agricultural businesses. Have experience using project systems to record stakeholder interactions and project progress You enjoy research and investigation to identify the relevant interest in a land parcel You enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team, and are able to work independently where required You are an engaging and enthusiastic individual that can form relationships at ease and is an excellent communicator who can build and sustain relationships with the project teams and external stakeholders You are willing to travel and be located at the scheme location when required to carry out site visits in line with the referencing exercises.
