About the Role: Are you an engineering graduate ready to make a real-world impact? You will be given support and guidance from experienced engineers and learn to be an expert in your discipline. You will have the opportunity to work in collaboration with other disciplines to develop and detail appropriate solutions, adopting the principles of excellence in design adopted by the SPA Alliance engineering team. You will be offered opportunities to gain the experience in your chosen area such as site experience, geotechnical design, commercial exposure, and access to digital tools to improve the quality of engineering design. Key Responsibilities: Specific design of water infrastructure that achieves the goals of Anglian Water in terms of customer, environment and efficiency. Undertake desk studies, ground investigations, geotechnical designs and site supervision Ensure that the principles of design safety are incorporated in all designs Work with the relevant lead team members to ensure that all technical deliverables are properly checked and approved. Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to innovation initiatives. Drive a culture of continuous improvement in Health & Safety (H&S), ensuring consistent H&S standards are maintained. What We’re Looking For: A degree in a relevant engineering subject. Our aim is to make the region, one of the most rapidly growing in the country, resilient to the risks of drought by securing water supplies for future generations. The new network of pipelines will be longer than HS2, making it one of the largest infrastructure projects for a generation. It is a complex and challenging major infrastructure project.
