Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience programming in JavaScript, TypeScript and Java.
  • 1 year of experience with full-stack development, front-end development, and backend development.
  • 1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with two or more of the following: web application development, Unix/Linux environments, mobile application development, distributed and parallel systems, information retrieval, networking, developing large software systems, or security software development.

The Google Chat API and App Platform (part of Google Workspace) allows developers to create Chat apps that can be used within Google Chat. Our team builds end to end features and infrastructure to help users solve their day to day use cases using Chat. We also build Chat APIs to enable seamless developer integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the full stack to improve, extend and build out the functionality of Google Chat Integration. 
  • Develop front-end, web, mobile, and work on scalable distributed systems, security, and user authentication.
  • Write product or system development code. Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
  • Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
