This role helps drive sales results by proactively identifying client needs and recommending appropriate solutions. The Representative enhances market leadership by representing Colortech at industry events. Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities Provides technical support to customers and sales team by responding to inquiries on product information and capabilities Responsible for solving technical problems by devising solutions to implement at customer locations based on previous customer feedback or requests Responds to customer complaints, isolates problems and reports results to commercial leadership Maintains Colortech’s industry presence by representing Colortech at industry conferences & trade shows. Conducts/develops customer presentations, web seminars, publications, articles, etc. Produces call reports, monthly summaries of active projects, updates as required and distributes Supervisory Responsibilities: No direct supervisory responsibility but provides functional or technical guidance to other staff within a work group or unit. May be required to provide some advice on policies and procedures to staff. Required Skills/Abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent problem solving and organizational skills. Excellent facility with computer information systems and windows-based PC software applications. Education and Experience A bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, polymer science, or a related technical field is required; an advanced degree or equivalent experience is a plus. Minimum of 8 years of experience in polymer processing or technical services, including at least 3 years leading major accounts or strategic technical initiatives in a polymer-related industry. Knowledge of color concentrates, plastics compounding, and processing technologies required; experience with CRM systems or relevant customer process equipment (blown/cast film, blow molding, injection molding, profile extrusion, etc.) is highly desirable.
