Role: Senior Specialist Pharmacist (AMS & Medicine) Location: London Bridge Hospital, Central London Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week, with contribution to lates, Saturday and on-calls on a rota basis Contract Type: Permanent Salary: Competitive dependent on experience and a host of excellent benefits including private healthcare We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Pharmacist with experience in Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) & Medicine to join our "outstanding" Pharmacy Team at the London Bridge Hospital, as rated by CQC. London Bridge Hospital is one of the UK’s largest private healthcare hospitals specialising in complex and acute care. Spread over three main buildings and five outpatient centres, it is home to a number of specialist units and teams across a wide range of disciplines including orthopaedic, spinal, digestive diseases, liver, hepatobiliary, renal, cardiothoracic, critical care, cancer and transplant services. The postholder will be the Pharmacy lead for antimicrobial stewardship across the campus, participating in multidisciplinary AMS ward rounds, ensuring follow up of actions and recommendations and reporting data. Working closely with the consultant microbiologists and infection control team they will help to develop a culture that reduces hospital acquired infection (HAIs), supporting prudent use of antimicrobials, investigating incidents, aiding implementation of any new antimicrobial initiatives and leading on writing and review of antimicrobial policies via Microguide. They will provide a clinical service to our specialist medical wards including liver, transplant, critical care, oncology, cardiac and gastro wards and support the training of junior pharmacists in these areas. What you’ll bring: Masters in Clinical Pharmacy Registered with GPhC Specialist clinical pharmacy knowledge and experience in specialties including AMS & Medicine Extensive hospital clinical pharmacy practice experience, including some of above specialties: Post graduate diploma/masters in clinical pharmacy or equivalent Why HCA UK?
