This rarely available role will give you exposure to an excellent variety of work at the top of the market and a unique insight into our clients’ businesses. It will also provide an excellent opportunity to support the growth of the Disputes & Regulatory practice generally, with fantastic scope for career development. We’re looking for candidates with strong experience in general commercial litigation, including managing complex disputes, advising clients on contentious matters, and handling court proceedings. You should also have excellent interpersonal skills and strong business development acumen. The role will involve both autonomous working, together with supervision of more junior team members in connection with the preparation for, and conduct of, hearings in both the Court of Session and the Sheriff Courts and the provision of associated advice to clients. Candidates will therefore require to be comfortable providing both legal and practical advice of a high quality to clients on wide variety of contentious legal issues (and reviewing and revising such advice prepared by more junior team members), often within short timescales.
