This job opportunity will allow you to grow within a rapidly expanding sector and play a leadership role with our work teams and clients. Your main objective will be to act as a consultant in estimating construction costs and implementing a variety of infrastructure, industrial, transportation, and building projects. We offer a flexible hybrid work model that allows you to work from home and from one of our offices in Quebec.Primary ResponsibilitiesSet up and manage a database of market prices specific to CIMA+Develop and formalize internal estimation practicesDevelop and maintain internal and external business relationshipsCoordinate the completion of complex estimates according to different estimation classes and ensure their accuracyEvaluate project budgets and cost variances between multiple options and make recommendationsReview and approve the basis of estimate reportManage, supervise, and review the work of the estimation team members by providing them with guidance and advice regarding their activitiesQualificationsDegree in engineering or architecture or any relevant training related to estimatingMinimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in the field of estimatingExperience in various multidisciplinary construction projects (structural, mechanical, electrical, etc.)Member of the Association des estimateurs et des économistes de la construction du Québec (AEÉCQ) and ESCQ or ECCQ certificationMember of the Canadian Institute of Construction Economists (CICE) and ECC or ÉCA certification (an asset)Knowledge of estimating software (e.g., Quoterplan, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff, or MEANS)Ability to read plans and manipulate 3D modelsFluency in French and English, both spoken and writtenThe expected annual salary for this position ranges from $94,000 to $115,000 ($48.71 to $58.98/hour), depending on the candidate's depth and diversity of experience, training, skills, and internal equity.
