Job DescriptionPurpose of the Job Reporting to the Head of Payroll, the Senior Payroll Advisor will be responsible for the range of payroll related activities in the allocated global jurisdictions where Ocorian operates.Main ResponsibilitiesEnsure pre-payroll tasks are completed, payrolls are run and post processing tasks finalised, in a timely, accurate and compliant manner for the allocated jurisdictionsWork with outsourced payroll service providers and other vendors/ organisations to deliver a timely, accurate and compliant payroll serviceAct as the reviewer for selected payrolls, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely approval before submissionProvide support in supervising payroll team members, helping with mentoring, coaching, and training where requiredPrepare and submit monthly and annual declarations to authoritiesResolve payroll queries promptly and accurately within the agreed deadlines Lead knowledge‑sharing sessions and contribute to continuous improvement of payroll processes and documentationCollaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure accuracy and timeliness of payroll processingAct as a point of escalation for complex payroll queries, guiding staff through resolutionEnsure that all internal and external audit requirements are met and provide information to auditors as requiredSupport succession planning by developing team capacity and identifying training needs#LI-AM1#LI-HybridQualificationsKnowledge, Skills & ExperienceMinimum of 5 years of payroll processing experienceStrong experience in UK payroll; International payroll exposure advantageousPrevious supervisory or team lead experience desirableDemonstrated ability to mentor, train, and develop team membersProficiency in payroll software and technologyAdvanced Excel proficiency (e.g. PivotTables, formulas such as vlookup)Exceptional attention to detail and high accuracy in data processingStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex payroll information to a variety of stakeholdersAnalytical mindset with a systematic approach to problem solvingExcellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesAbility to handle confidential and sensitive situationsAdditional InformationAll staff are expected to embody our core values that underpin everything that we do and that reflect the skills and behaviours we all need to be successful.
