About The Role This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager to play a key role in FAIRR’s fast-growing investor network, which is providing investors with the tools to manage the ESG risks and opportunities in the global food sector. This role is instrumental in growing FAIRR’s investor network and involves reaching out to potential investors, building relationships, and fostering collaboration. This role will focus on investor categories within the European markets. The Senior Outreach Manager will play an essential role in expanding and deepening FAIRR’s investor network through understanding investors’ needs and concerns, and tailoring FAIRR’s value proposition to meet their evolving requirements. Essential Criteria Proven relationship management, networking and business development skills, preferably within the financial sector, or within other service-based industries, such as management consulting -essential Demonstrable experience in leading meetings and pitches to investment executives, corporates and policymakers at all levels-essential Knowledge of global capital markets including the requirements of the various roles within the investment industry, across asset classes and their ESG research and data requirements-essential Excellent team player with strong analytical skills and commercial acumen-essential Strong organizational skills with experience in developing project plans, delivering on competing schedules and ability to perform in a high-paced environment-essential Relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification Experience of MS Office to an advanced level PowerPoint, Word); Salesforce-essential Key Responsibilities Strategy Development and Execution Collaborate with FAIRR’s Director of Outreach, and the wider outreach team to input into and then execute a coordinated cohesive membership engagement strategy that raises awareness of the materiality of ESG issues in the food sector (with a strong focus on protein value chains) and the importance of their integration into investment processes and analysis in specific markets Lead on the development of FAIRR’s strategy for deepening our membership base and relationships in European markets (specific countries to be determined) and raising the visibility and relevance of FAIRR’s work among specific investor categories (e.g., fixed-income investors, asset owners). Relationship Management and Expansion Lead in one-on-one meetings and participate in interactions with investor members/stakeholders to further knowledge of the risks and opportunities within the current food system and increase the expansion of FAIRR’s investor network Deepen relationships with existing network members and maintain quality of participation in networks activities including expanding new contacts within member teams to reach more quantitative, thematic and portfolio management teams Develop strong working relationships with colleagues across the FAIRR team to broaden and deepen the understanding of how FAIRR’s key issues are evolving within the investor landscape. This includes promoting enhanced collaboration across teams, including the research and engagements team, suggesting ways to incorporate trends and investor priorities into FAIRR’s tools, data, and thematic offering. Member Experience Suggest ways and processes to improve the FAIRR member experience and to adapt FAIRR’s offering and messaging to resonate with investor priorities including better ways to convene specific investor groups Support the development and refinement of FAIRR’s membership journey, aid overall team effectiveness to support member satisfaction, FAIRR product development and incorporate investor feedback. This includes developing new and better ways to monitor and increase the depth and breadth of FAIRR’s interactions with the investment community. Communication and External Representation Represent FAIRR at relevant financial and sustainability events to raise the organization’s profile within the investment industry and showcase recent research, initiatives and investor briefings. Act as an ambassador of FAIRR with the investment community to increase the recognition of the FAIRR brand, this includes public speaking at events, event organisation, press interactions Training and Development Provide training and support to the broader FAIRR team to ensure consistency and effectiveness in member engagement and communication efforts. Develop educational materials and programs for investors to enhance their understanding of ESG issues in the food sector. Document Preparation, Reporting, CRM Support the preparation of tailored investment communications and materials for specific investors and asset classes including investor case studies and other ad-hoc materials. Support the preparation of reports on progress for presentation to the Board of Directors. Manage own activity on FAIRR client relationship management databases. Travel Ability to travel internationally to key market countries Desirable Criteria Investment or financial services sector experience Experience of public speaking at events, event organisation, press interactions- highly desirable In-depth knowledge of responsible investments, as well as contacts with key professionals at major asset owners - highly desirable A passion for tackling the world’s sustainability challenges and mobilising finance for good-highly desirable Thematic knowledge of food systems and understanding of the role and motivations of different stakeholders in food supply chains -highly desirable Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (other languages are highly desirable) Previous experience working across international markets, with relevant experience and ability to adapt the communication style to different countries-highly desirable Master’s degree in one or more relevant fields and/or a recognised investment qualification-preferable Further Information
