Role Title:Senior Information Analyst We anticipate paying a salary from £48,000 - £63,000 DOE Location: Derby, Manchester OR Warrington offices - Hybrid working flexibility We are Rolls-Royce SMR and we're doing something that's never been done before. We are now recruiting for the exciting role of Senior Information Analyst, to be involved inindustry leading, cutting-edge design project for a new type of power station. Rolls Royce SMR is a growing business and as the business wins new customers and contracts there is a need to grow the supporting capability. A key thread of the business is the use of Digital Technology to drive efficiency and effectiveness in the organisation and to deliver a digitally enabled Power station. The technology function (DigIT) is in its infancy and large investment is being readied to ensure that technology can support the growth of the business. The Information Management Analyst will provide support in the development and execution of the organisation's enterprise-wide information management strategy, ensuring that data and information assets are governed, structured, and secured in line with regulatory, legislative, and nuclear industry standards. Working with Head of Information Management and other key stakeholders, the role will support and input into the information governance programme that underpins secure, compliant, and value-driven data practices across the business. This includes the creation and enforcement of robust information policies, oversight of information architecture, and alignment with ISO 27001, ONR (Office for Nuclear Regulation), and other relevant nuclear sector requirements. The role is responsible for: Leadership Create and support the development of the enterprise-wide information management vision, strategy, aligned with cyber security, compliance, and business objectives Provide insight in the information and data process for the organisation Support delivery of a programme of change/training that embeds secure information practices throughout the organisation's culture, technology, and operations Champion the value of information as a corporate asset and support digital transformation programmes with strong data governance principles. Policy and Governance Help to create and develop, implement, and maintain information and data policies, standards, and procedures aligned with regulatory (e.g. GDPR, NIS2), legal, and nuclear sector-specific obligations Support the Head of Information Management on establishing and managing the Information Management Working Group to ensure cross-functional alignment and oversight Ensure data classification, labelling, and handling policies are up to date and regular checks are performed on the information and data across the organisation Update all related information/data processes within the IMS Compliance and Industry Alignment Ensure compliance with applicable standards, such as: ONR Security Assessment Principles (SyAPs) ISO/IEC 27001 and 27701 IAEA nuclear information guidance Data Protection Act 2018 / UK GDPR Collaborate with Legal, IT, and Compliance to manage data-related regulatory risks Support audits and regulatory inspections relating to information management and cyber security Programme Delivery Take an active role in a multi-year information governance and management programme, including risk assessment, remediation, controls implementation and how we exchange data with our partners/customers/suppliers/shareholders Develop and track KPIs for information management maturity and assurance Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management Work with business unit leaders, IT, and project managers to ensure that data/information governance principles are embedded into new projects and systems Support training and awareness campaigns related to information governance, policy, and compliance. Help answer any queries related to data/information Key Results & What can be achieved in the role Short Term Develop KPI's for data and information management Support the creation of an information management programme Help the business understand the importance of information management Analyze key risks and opportunities to mature Information Management and Data Medium Term Support continuous improvement and maturing of the approach of information management Develop ideas to support the maturing nature of information management Develop and update IMS process related to S10 Confidence can sometimes hold us back from applying for a job. Key Selection Criteria Demonstratable track record of working in an Information Management environment Able to demonstrate tangible examples of support the development of a strategy, governing and managing Information Management frameworks, policies and procedures Able to partner with business and drive outcomes Can provide clear experience in managing business relationships, get teams to deliver when not in direct control of the resource Ability to analyse trends and information patterns Can demonstrate the ability to analyse information data patterns, trends and develop KPI's to monitor health and risks Communication & Stakeholder Management Excellent communicator at all levels and using multiple methods. Able to rationalise complex information (both high level and detailed level) to make it understandable for others to work with. Convey information and ideas clearly, accurately, and persuasively. Our Application Process Due to the safety regulations within the nuclear industry, applicants will be required to participate in additional screening.
