[What the role is] As a member of our Biology Division team, you will play a critical role in research & development (R&D) in the area of forensic biology, and casework analyses and reporting. [What you will be working on] Perform literature review and design experimental plan Conduct workflow improvement, research and validation Conduct and supervise DNA analysis of crime samples. Interpretation and statistical analysis of forensic DNA results. Preparation and review of reports, and provision of expert Court testimony. Participate in QA/QC activities. Assist the Laboratory Director in general laboratory administrative matters and technical staff training. [What we are looking for] Background in Life Sciences with Mendelian Genetics, Biochemistry, and Molecular Biology Sound life sciences knowledge with proven expertise in molecular biology/genetics as evidenced by publications in international peer-reviewed journals. Preferably have experience in programming (e.g VBA, python, R, SQL) and/or statistical software (e.g R Studio, SPSS, SAS) in life sciences setting. Familiarity with population genetics or metagenomics on MPS will be an advantage Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
