Vonigo, part of the Fullsteam organization, is a SaaS platform serving franchise and multi-location service brands across industries such as Maid Services, Junk Removal, Home Installation, and Franchise Services. We are scaling engineering delivery and are hiring a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the core engineering team while remaining hands-on in development. This role will manage up to a team of 7 software engineers working on C#, .NET, and Azure/AWS cloud environments. The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader who can balance engineering execution, architectural decisions, and coaching while rolling up their sleeves to code when needed. Primary Responsibilities: Leadership & Delivery Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 7 software engineers, ensuring high-quality engineering execution and delivery. Establish sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and agile delivery culture. Partner with product management to align engineering work to roadmap priorities and market commitments. Drive accountability for code quality, test coverage, delivery timelines, and release discipline. Hands-On Development & Architecture Contribute as a senior developer when needed—writing code, designing APIs, reviewing pull requests, and troubleshooting system issues. Provide technical oversight across the platform architecture, including .NET Core, C#, Web API services, and SQL Server. Lead modernization efforts by refactoring legacy components and improving system performance and scalability. Drive improvements to development tooling, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and monitoring. Technical Strategy & Ownership Own engineering execution for Vonigo in collaboration with shared services engineering teams. Implement coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines. Ensure engineering decisions support scalability, maintainability, and product migration objectives. Guide technical design, architecture reviews, technical debt management, and platform stability. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment Partner with customer success, onboarding, and support teams to resolve escalated issues. Work closely with implementation engineers and solution developers to scale platform configuration capabilities. Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and PMO to improve release reliability and deployment automation. Required Skills & Experience 7+ years of professional experience in software engineering using C# and .NET 3+ years of engineering leadership experience managing software engineers Hands-on expertise in .NET Core, Web API, RESTful services, and microservices architecture Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server including schema design, stored procedures, and query tuning Experience in Azure or AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM or equivalent cloud technologies) Strong understanding of CI/CD, Git workflows, DevOps practices, and cloud deployment automation Ability to balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on coding and technical design Experience working in SaaS platforms, preferably B2B vertical or field service software Preferred Experience with front-end frameworks like React or Vue.js Experience with mobile solutions and mobile synchronization logic Background in workflow engines, scheduling systems, or job dispatch platforms Experience working with globally distributed development teams Experience improving legacy platforms while building new cloud services Key Attributes for Success Strong ownership mindset and bias for action Passion for building scalable technical solutions and strong engineering culture Ability to lead through ambiguity during platform modernization Strong communicator who can partner across engineering, product, and business teams Performance Metrics Sprint velocity and roadmap delivery accuracy Reduction in backlog and technical debt Code quality metrics, defect rate, and release reliability Engineering team productivity and retention Resolution time on escalated engineering issues Fullsteam supports an inclusive workplace that values diversity of thought, experience, and background.
