About the Role We’re looking for an experienced Sr. Director of Solutions to join our team and help define, design, and deliver transformative eCommerce strategies that optimize customer experiences and drive measurable business growth. Acting as the strategic and technical bridge between business goals and execution, you’ll bring deep Shopify expertise, solution-oriented thinking, and a passion for creating exceptional commerce experiences to every project. You’ll lead a high-performing team of solution architects and collaborate with cross-functional teams (PM, design, dev, marketing) through new builds and complex replatforms, leveraging your knowledge of Shopify features, integrations, and best practices to develop scalable, efficient, and revenue-driving solutions. Beyond delivery, you’ll collaborate with our sales and strategy teams, helping position us as a trusted Shopify Premium partner in both B2C and B2B markets. This role requires someone who speaks the language of Shopify fluently, from checkout extensibility to integrations with ERPs, CRMs, and loyalty platforms. Key Responsibilities Act as the strategic and technical lead on Shopify Plus builds, migrations, and replatforming projects, ensuring solutions align with the client's business goals. Architect end-to-end Shopify solutions, ensuring seamless integration between front-end experience, back-end systems, and third-party platforms (ERPs, CRMs, PIMs, marketing automation, loyalty, and fulfillment tools). Manage and mentor the international solution architect team. Partner with sales, design, and development teams to define requirements, solution architecture, and implementation plans. Translate complex business needs into scalable, high-performing Shopify solutions, including ERP, CRM, PIM, OMS, and third-party integrations. Collaborate with clients to define functional and technical requirements, providing clear documentation, data flow diagrams, and architecture recommendations. Assist with lead technical discovery and roadmapping sessions to identify project risks, dependencies, and innovation opportunities. Provide technical oversight during development and QA to ensure platform stability, performance, and scalability. Support sales activities, including solution design, estimation, and participation in client pitches and proposals as needed. Stay current with Shopify platform updates, Hydrogen and checkout extensibility, and broader eCommerce trends, sharing insights to strengthen our thought leadership. Mentor cross-functional teams, promoting best practices in Shopify architecture, performance optimization, and integration strategy. Collaborate closely with project managers to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with an exceptional client experience. What We’re Looking For 5+ years of experience in eCommerce solution architecture or technical leadership within a digital agency environment. Demonstrated experience acting as the lead architect on enterprise-level and B2B Shopify implementations, with a proven track record of guiding projects from discovery through launch, owning solution design, technical execution, and stakeholder alignment. Deep, hands-on expertise with Shopify Plus, including custom app development, checkout extensibility, and Hydrogen storefronts. Proven experience designing and implementing integrations with ERPs (e.g., NetSuite, Microsoft Business Central, SAP, SAGE), CRMs, payment gateways, loyalty tools, and analytics platforms. Strong understanding of eCommerce data models (products, orders, customers, pricing, and inventory) and API-driven architectures. Proficiency in Liquid, GraphQL, REST APIs, and familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React or Vue.js. Experience with B2B Shopify functionality, Sparklayer, multi-store setups, and advanced pricing or account hierarchies. Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language for clients and internal stakeholders. Strategic mindset, able to think beyond development to long-term client value, growth, and performance. Demonstrated success collaborating with design, project management, and marketing teams in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
