We are seeking a skilled and motivated Database Administrator to join our dynamic team. Mission: As a Database Administrator, you will engage more deeply in designing, developing, and maintaining the company’s databases. This role is essential for enhancing data management processes and ensuring that the databases are optimized for performance and reliability. Responsibilities: Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly and accurately. Develop, maintain, and optimize database structures, schemas, and queries. Monitor and maintain database integrity, performance, and storage utilization. Implement and manage backup and recovery procedures to ensure high availability. Ensure database deployments align with internal standards, as defined by the IT division GBS, and meet business requirements. Meet ticket SLA expectations and contribute to incident resolution. Stay current with emerging database technologies and assess their applicability. Generate detailed reports on database performance and stability. Assist with data migration and integration from multiple sources. Create and modify data models with guidance. Conduct thorough testing of database applications. Support both OLTP and OLAP environments. Participate in on-call rotations to support critical database operations outside regular business hour Profile: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience (3–5 years as DBA). Strong focus on SQL Server; experience with other platforms (MySQL, Oracle, Postgres, Cosmos DB, MongoDB, MariaDB) is a plus. Appreciation for and working knowledge of database services offered by Azure and AWS. Mindset oriented toward automation, with a drive to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency. Deep understanding of integrated security and troubleshooting practices. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders. Proficient in writing and reviewing T-SQL and other query languages. Skilled in managing scheduled tasks, backups, recovery processes, and alerts. Capable of diagnosing and resolving performance issues at both database and application levels. Collaborative team player across technical and business units. Proactive in identifying future needs and ensuring reliable service. Willingness to work outside regular hours and participate in on-call support. Passion for continuous learning and knowledge sharing. Skills: SQL Proficiency: Writing and optimizing complex queries. Data Integrity: Ensuring accuracy and consistency. Performance Tuning: Enhancing database efficiency. Reporting: Creating advanced and detailed reports. Data Modeling: Intermediate-level design and modification. Backup & Recovery: Planning and execution. Integration: Handling data from diverse sources. Problem Solving: Diagnosing and resolving issues effectively. Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with Azure and AWS database services. Automation: Experience or interest in automating database tasks and workflows.
