This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer (f/m/d) in Austria, Germany, Spain, UK, Italy, Hungary, Portugal, Croatia. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to take full ownership of a dynamic data platform. In this role, you will architect, build, and maintain end-to-end data infrastructure while driving the technical direction of the data ecosystem. You will partner with a lean, high-impact team to design scalable data models, automate workflows, and implement modern analytics engineering practices. Your expertise in Python, SQL, and dbt-core will be instrumental in creating robust solutions for data ingestion, transformation, and analytics. \n Accountabilities: Architect, develop, and maintain the end-to-end data platform, including infrastructure, pipelines, and data models. Drive the evolution of the data stack, including potential migration to a platform-agnostic data lake. Build and scale analytics models using dbt-core to support business intelligence initiatives. Design and maintain serverless data extraction pipelines using Python and cloud-based solutions. Implement Infrastructure as Code practices with Terraform to automate and standardize operations. Act as a strategic partner, contributing to architectural decisions and tooling selection to optimize team effectiveness. Collaborate closely with team members and stakeholders to ensure data solutions meet business needs. Requirements: Proven experience as a data engineer with hands-on experience in building and maintaining data platforms. Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL for complex data modeling and transformation. Strong experience with dbt-core and a solid understanding of analytics engineering principles. Familiarity with cloud-based data infrastructure, preferably AWS (Redshift, S3, Lambda). Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform. Experience working in a remote-first, cross-functional team environment. Strong problem-solving skills, ownership mentality, and ability to shape technical strategy.
