Scope of the role: The Senior Business Controller France role offers an exciting opportunity to be a key member of local leadership team responsible for developing Capri Sun business in France, with a full oversight of P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow. You will support organic business growth as well as expansion via new product launches, and penetration into the new distribution channels. You will ensure the delivery of ambitious revenue growth targets through the execution of sales and marketing strategies, whilst ensuring proper ROI and control of pricing realization, marketing investment and overhead cost. You will control cash delivery via credit limit management and payment term optimization with customers. In collaboration with the Group / Local Accounting teams, you will assure accurate bookkeeping and timely IFRS reporting. Being the most senior Finance leader on the ground, you will have a direct and functional responsibility for developing and leading a small local finance team. The role will be based in Paris, France and report into Group Business Controlling Director. This role requires in-person team work 2 to 3 days from the office in central Paris. Responsibilities: Provide Finance Leadership and Business Partnership to local GM, Sales and Marketing teams Lead local finance team within the matrix organization Support Revenue growth via execution of annual plans and strategic programs Drive profit margin expansion through realization of Net Pricing, Product and Channel Mix Create Annual Plans, Monthly Rolling Forecasts in close collaboration with the local and regional Sales and Marketing teams and in line with the Group Controlling guidelines Control Marketing investment and overhead cost vs. annual plans and forecasts Analyse actual results and variance drivers vs. plans / forecasts / prior year and provide suggestions to Management team on an improvement action Analyse different business cases - new product launches, new distribution channels, marketing strategies – and deliver multi-year financial business plans; also considering process and organizational questions Control credit risks and optimize Cash Flow via improvement of payment terms with customers Build monthly accruals for trade discounts, marketing and overhead cost and track spending against it Support development of financial systems and processes in line with the Group Finance strategy to enhance data quality and analytical capabilities Provide competitive insights to the local, regional and corporate management teams Build financial capabilities of the local Sales & Marketing teams Profile: 7+ years of experience in Financial Controlling in FMCG. (Experience in food and beverages is preferred but not a hard requirement) Proven working experience in Commercial Controlling / Business Controlling function in France Strong experience in working with French retailers and supporting the sales teams during annual negotiations Proven leadership skills and track record of enabling winning teams Ability to analyse Sales and Marketing data + financial performance of the business and translate it into the actionable insights Proven finance leadership skills with the ability to constructively challenge financial decisions (pricing, spending etc) made by local leadership Strong communication skills Self-starter with ability to work independently Team player able to build cross-functional network within the matrix / regional organizations Higher university education and preferably relevant qualifications such as ACCA Fluent (bilingual) oral/written communication skills in French and English Good technical skills with Financial Planning & Reporting applications (SAC, SAP BW, SAP) and MS Office Eligible to work in France and residing within commutable distance from Paris.
