In this role, you’ll drive the development of robust backend systems, architecting secure, high-performance applications while tackling complex data integration, scalability, and security challenges. It’s a high-impact position in a fast-paced, high-talent environment where innovation, speed, and teamwork are core to success In this role, you will Lead the development and optimization of robust backend systems, primarily using Python and AWS services Architect secure, scalable, and maintainable infrastructures on AWS, including database design, cloud storage Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including AI researchers and data scientists Architect scalable, maintainable systems that support the company’s rapid growth and mission to make a meaningful environmental impact Mentor and support junior developers, fostering an environment of collaboration and technical excellence Automate and optimize systems to deliver faster, more efficient solutions to both users and internal teams Required Skills and Qualifications Computer science with expertise in Python, including experience in backend frameworks (e.g., Flask, Django) and API development Deep knowledge of AWS services (such as Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, and DynamoDB) and familiarity with building and deploying cloud-native applications Understanding of secure, scalable architectures and best practices for handling sensitive data in cloud environments Passion for AI and backend development, with an emphasis on building systems that enhance AI model performance and user experience Proven commitment to teamwork, continuous growth, and a proactive approach to feedback and collaboration Background in early-stage startup environments is a plus, as is a high degree of adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced setting Preferred Skills and Qualifications Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform, for scalable, reproducible infrastructure management Experience with data processing frameworks and libraries in Python (e.g., Pandas, NumPy) and their integration with cloud-based data pipelines In return, they offer Top of the market salary Equity plan Relocation support Visa administration 🌈 Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging We are committed to enabling everyone to feel included and valued and trust our partners to do the same.
