As a key member and informal leader within the Corporate Finance Team, the Senior Advisor – Treasury & LRP is responsible for developing, interpreting, and implementing complex financial models and accounting concepts/techniques for financial planning and control (in accordance with Generally Accepted Account Principles (GAAP), Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAS) and Ontario Hospital Reporting Standards (MIS Guidelines). Additionally, the role will develop consolidated financial models for cashflow, treasury, debt and capital planning. Main functions of this treasury and long-range planning focused position include the preparation and accountability of complex monthly/quarterly/annual financial reporting & variance& trending review, account reconciliations, preparation/ownership of forecasts/budgets (including multi-year plans), review of other financial analyst/peer work & account reconciliations, including feedback and coaching & involvement in both finance and cross-functional projects/committees. The role will also be responsible for maintaining and cultivating internal and external relationships, while also mentoring and providing redundancy for junior staff. Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) is preferred MBA an asset 5-7 years related experience Ability to operate at both the strategic & tactical level Proven ability to work independently & collaboratively Possess excellent analytic, critical thinking & problem solving skills; attentive to detail & accuracy; capacity for thorough and accurate compilation of data and research creation Ability to translate analytical results/research into conclusions & recommendations Demonstrated knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Public Sector Accounting Standards as well as MIS reporting guidelines Proven ability to work within changing & tight timelines; ability to organize & establish priorities Ability to coach & develop others Previous hospital experience an asset Demonstrated advanced computer skills in Microsoft 365 including Outlook, Access, Word, PowerPoint and especially Excel Confidence & professionalism in interactions with executives & senior leaders Strong presentation and communication skills
